Singapore Furniture Industries Council (SFIC) and American Hardwood Export Council (AHEC) cordially invite you to join us for an enriching evening to endow yourself with relevant knowledge on American Hardwoods and how they can benefit to your designs and business & be the first to view the winning pieces of 4th FL!P Challenge!

Organized by SFIC and supported by AHEC, this Seminar is held especially for designers, architects, and all related industry players who wish to gain tips on the hardwood resources, species and sustainability issues.

"In today's market, consumers are more and more recognizing the value in purchasing green products and the number of industries beginning to make environmental issues core to their business philosophy are growing. The use of wood from sustainable sources not only is a benefit to our environment but also provides a great marketing advantage."

"There are three prominent policy responses to deforestation and illegal logging: certification, environmental timber procurement policies and "green building" systems. While these are useful tools for buyers wishing to tackle environmental concerns about timber, they also have limitations."

The SFIC-AHEC Design Seminar Series will be held at Sheraton Towers Singapore, Topaz Room, on 30 November 2007, in conjunction with the Singapore Design Festival.
